Our 'Do I Need Planning Permission?' form can be downloaded below to help people get informal advice about whether they are likely to need planning permission to carry out improvement works on their homes; or build extensions or outbuildings.
Please note this form should only be used for alterations to a domestic premises and should not be used for housing developments, commercial alterations, agricultural activities, or changes of use. If you are unsure then please contact the Planning Service at Tedder Hall.
This is a discretionary service offered by the council. In order that we can provide the service to a consistent and high standard the council has decided that the cost of providing the service should partly be recovered directly and not fall as a general cost to the council tax payer. The charge for processing the forms will be £60, payable with your enquiry. Forms that are not accompanied by the fee will be returned.
