The Planning Department may prepare a report to go to the Planning Committee, which is made up of elected councillors.

In some cases the Council may give a senior officer in the Planning Department the responsibility for deciding your application on the Committee's behalf. Full details of this procedure are provided in the Council's Scheme of Delegation for Determining Planning Applications.

You should receive a decision on your application within eight weeks of making your application.
