Demolition Control
To administer the Demolition of Buildings

The service is available to everyone.
  • To give general advice on the demolition process
  • To process demolition notices
  • To carry out site inspections
  • To inform the applicant of their obligations
This service is available:

Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays)
9.00am to 5pm

This service can be applied for in the following ways:

  • By visiting Council offices
  • By visiting a Customer Service Centre
  • By calling the Council
  • By letter/fax/e-mail

This service will be delivered in the following ways:

  • By a site visit within the district council.
  • By resolution over the telephone

Restrictions on the Service

The applicant must give 6 weeks notice prior to carrying out any demolition. Please click on the link below to download a demolition notice.

Demolition Notice

Demolition notices are not required for buildings less than 70 m ³.
