Building Control Dangerous Structures

The service is for the benefit of everyone.

An onsite inspection of any potential Dangerous Structures throughout East Lindsey.

If necessary the council can take any action they deem necessary as detailed within the Building Act 1984 to remove or make safe a danger.

This service is available:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

This service can be applied for in the following ways:

  • By visiting Council offices
  • By visiting a Customer Service Centre
  • By calling the Council
  • By telephoning the 24 hour telephone number
  • By posting or faxing
  • By the Internet

This service will be delivered in the following ways:

  • By a site visit within the district council.
  • By resolution over the telephone

Restrictions on the Service
None

Charges: This service is free of charge for attending site or reporting the potential danger.

Subsequent charges may be applicable if the council undertake work on the owner’s behalf
