Building Control

Building Control ensures that building works comply with the health, safety, energy conservation and access for the disabled requirements, as laid down in the Building Regulations and Building Acts.

The online Building Control system provides you with information on all Building Regulation applications since 1991, including giving access to current and past applications you can view plans and documents relating to the applications:

This enables you to track the progress of a building regulation application, access to copies of completion certificates, building notice acknowledgements and full plans approvals

Conservation and Environment

The Conservation and Environment teams deal with all matters of the built and natural environment and aims to protect the best of East Lindsey’s environment and improve all of it wherever the opportunity arises.

Development Control - Planning Applications

Development Control deals with the processing of planning applications, taking account of district policies and briefs, government guidance and the individual merits of each scheme, in order to control development in the borough in the public interest.

Land Charges

Land Charges - If you are a potential buyer of a property in East Lindsey, as part of the conveyancing process, a search against that property would have to be conducted to uncover any restrictions or legal obligations on the building(s) or plot of land.

Planning Policy / Local Plan

Planning policy / Local Plan provides policies to guide and encourage future development in the District.

Forward Planning is also responsible for development briefs and other guidelines, transport policies, and measures to protect and improve the environment.

Online Mapping

East Lindsey District Council's online Mapping System is an interactive mapping service which we have developed to enhance our website.

The mapping system allows you to interact with different maps of East Lindsey. It is possible to see overlays depicting different areas on the map or search for features which are near to a particular postcode, town or street.
