Data Protection and Freedom of Information

    To help us give you the best service possible and to ensure that we have all the necessary information to process a request efficiently for information under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts, we require you to complete this request form.

    Click here if you require a downloadable form to send your request in by post or to hand in at any of the Area Offices. 

    Please note that there may be a fee payable depending upon the type and amount of information you are requesting. Any costs will be made known to you before the information is released.

    Data Protection Act 1998: The information that you provide will only be used for Council purposes unless there is a legal authority to do otherwise.

    The online form will enable you to make a request under  the Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations, or Data Protection Act.

    Your request must include a contact name, an address for correspondence and state clearly what information is required.  We will give you assistance and advice if you need help to put your request together.

    Data Protection

    The information supplied on the form will be used to process your request for information and will be retained as a record. This will allow your personal details to be available if you contact ELDC in the future for information requests
