East Lindsey is Thriving – Reaching Out to 2012

East Lindsey District Council's Corporate Strategy sets out the commitment we have made to residents and how we will turn this in to reality. The strategy is based on a detailed analysis of the District’s needs and has been subjected to extensive consultation across the District. The core of the strategy is to make a real and positive difference to the lives of all our residents.

We have three main ambitions for East Lindsey.

  • Improve our economic prosperity
  • Nurture our distinctive and vibrant communities
  • Reduce inequality to improve quality of life

By 2012 we want to firmly establish a District that has grown and improved to provide the best possible opportunities for all.

  • More and better jobs in the District
  • Better skill levels
  • Broader range of tourists visiting the area
  • Improved health, especially amongst the most disadvantaged
  • More responsive Council services
  • Higher rated performance and resident satisfaction

The Strategy places a focus on individuals and supporting some of our most vulnerable residents. This includes a new emphasis on customer access and improving ways we interface with our residents and customers.

We are also aware of the role we have to play in creating harmonious communities and supporting vulnerable individuals and sections of the community.
